I Messed Up?

Are you afraid that you are always messing up? Does it seem like everyone is always just waiting for you to make a mistake (at least in their eyes) and pounce; making you feel like an idiot? Well guess what? That will not happen here.

I have had to moderate some comments lately that have been incredibly biting. Actually they have been horrid. Look people, I do not profess to be a scientist. I am just a woman who will never dance again with her dad because a Hep-B shot (verified by the Special Masters) gave him Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy or CIDP and he is in a wheelchair...a nice wheelchair paid for by the government but still.

I am just a woman who experienced a reaction to Aspartame and felt my life literally slipping away from me. I am just a woman, mother, wife (for a while anyway) daughter, friend, co-worker... I am all of you and none of you all at the same time. We are one person, one community and one World. Maybe right now you do not know that you need help opening up your mind to your consumerism and what it is doing to your health and the health of our environment. I am just here to tell you that you do.

Listen, I promise never to make you feel like an idiot for what you post. I love scientific data, but I live by the Precautionary Rule so I love to get any info you have to share. We can look at it together and decide if it has merit along with our online community. Then if some still believe what I may not believe, all are still welcome here. You are safe here and the only one who messes up, is the one who sends reprehensible messages to me.

  1. Yours is a topic that will generate intense debate. It is also a topic that needs to be discussed.

I am sure that you will continue to receive the hateful and at times psychotic replies when you bring up issues that for some reason threaten the weak minded. I will never know why we cannot just have a debate and agree to disagree on some points but this is the way of the world.

None us know the effects of everything we are exposed to in food and other consumer items. Many additives do not even require approval. Those that do, aspartame, can be pushed through the system given enough money and political juice.

The U.S. allows things that lead to jail time in other countries to be added to the food we give our children.

Not that there are not enough examples here but to add my current soapbox, azocarbonamide is outlawed in the EU and much of Asia sends people to jail for adding it to food. What do we do? Add it to the majority of commercial bread, yes even Wonder Bread, and other baked products. It can also be used as a blowing agent in the manufacture of PVC pipe if that makes you feel better. Other countries have outlawed it for its potential for childhood asthma which is on the rise.

It's all about profit. Injuring a few children is a small price to pay to boost the stock dividends.

Keep up the good fight and I hope I can help spread the word. We may not agree on everything but at least we can talk about it.

    Namaste
