Through the WebDialogue, we can all discuss the draft Action Agenda , share ideas and comment on proposed actions and learn from one another to form conclusions to share as part of the public comment process. You can review the draft Action Agenda here,  Our contributions to the WebDialogue will be summarized and shared with National Conversation Leadership Council members as they finalize the action agenda.

This is a wonderful chance to help shape our future health!  The goal of this National Conversation is to develop an effective, efficient, fair, and collaborative action agenda with recommendations for strengthening our nation’s efforts to protect the public from harmful chemical exposures.

The National Conversation on Public Health and Chemical Exposures is supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR). It’s a unique and unprecedented collaboration of federal, state, and local, and tribal government agencies; public health and environmental scientists, researchers, and leaders; nonprofit, community, and faith-based organizations; concerned citizens nationwide; and representatives from private industry.

This past April, the National Conversation held the first WebDialogue to gather input on the safe use of chemicals from interested citizens across the country. Over 300 individuals from 42 states and territories participated in this virtual discussion. A summary of highlights is available for all to see online.

We all expect a nation safe from harmful chemical exposures, and, as a nation, we can do a better job of protecting ourselves, our families, and our communities...don't we?
