Johnson & Johnson Recalls Aveeno® Baby Calming Comfort® Lotion Due to Bacteria

You can find the lot number and UPC code embossed on the tube
Johnson & Johnson is being abundantly cautious in voluntarily recalling their Aveeno® Baby Calming Comfort® Lotion.  The baby lotion was delivered to stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas.  A product sample tested by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) showed that one lot of the lotion exceeded the specifications of a common bacteria.  Interestingly, testing by an independent lab showed that the specifications had not been exceeded.  Other lots, not listed above, are still available for sale.

Johnson & Johnson wants consumers to understand that there have been no adverse events or health effects reported from using the recalled lotion.  Consumers who would like a refund or coupon, or who have questions or concerns about the recalled product, should call their Consumer Call Center at 1-877-298-2525 which is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
