Think Aspartame is Safe? Let's Ask The Center for Science in the Public Interest

Food for Thought
Aspartame is no friend of mine and apparently The Center for Science in the Public Interest feels it is an additive to be avoided too.  According to their website, "Aspartame (Equal, NutraSweet), a chemical combination of two amino acids and methanol, was initially thought to be the perfect artificial sweetener, but it might cause cancer or neurological problems such as dizziness or hallucinations."

Hmmm...and this stuff is in over 6,000 foods and drinks marketed in the US.
