Wordless Wednesday 4-18-12 The Future Beth Terry from My Plastic-free Life

Wordless Wednesday is a day for me to share an image from my green living life with you along with just a few words...or so

A couple of weeks ago I attended the Environmental Science Earth Day Celebration at our local high school.  I am lucky enough to be able to serve on the PTSA as a Co-Chair of the Environmental Committee so I get to do fun things like that.  Anyway, I met tons of kids at the Earth Day event and looked at every single project that encircled the gym.  It was really very special to get to spend that time with the kids and see and feel just how passionate they are about creating a healthy world for all.

One particular young lady really stood out to me amongst the many eco-teens.  You can see her project in the picture above but what you cannot see is her passion for a life without so much plastic waste. She even made a recycling sorting game the kids could play (see below) and if they sorted everything in under a minute, they got a free reusable bag.  She is such a little Beth Terry from My Plastic-free Life in training!!

P.S.- Have you heard about The Green PolkaDot Box! Recently launched with over 12,000 members and backed by the Organic Consumer's Association, you can easily buy NonGMO organics at wholesale pricing online.  It's like a Sam's club but focused on products for green, healthy living!!  You can even shop by dietary restrictions like gluten free, vegan or diabetic.
