Glenn Beck on Michelle Obama's Statement that "We Can't Just Leave it up to the Parents" to Keep Our Kids Healthy. Is Michelle Obama, in Taking on Such a Good Hearted Mission, Taking Her Trip Too Far?

So many folks determine, without asking me, that I am a liberal.  Although I am a registered Democrat, I haven't voted that way in over a decade.  I have considered changing my voting status to Republican but I don't feel comfortable classifying myself in that way either.  I am in a sort of political limbo.  I am searching for more than a No Labels label to move forward you know?

For the last five years or so I have been listening to my McDreamy...Glenn Beck.  What can I say, I am very cerebral and I also happen to think he is a doll.  His wife is a lucky woman.   I have been thankful for his  coverage and commentary on the New Millenia Patriots who have followed their hearts and worked with their minds to bring us the Tea Party Movement.   Looking for comfort and guidance in the hilarious (if we don't laugh we will cry) but poignant foresight of Glenn Beck somehow makes me feel like I actually do have a place in politics today.

I am right where I need to be.  Questioning everything instead of just taking the easy way and blindly choosing to follow others just so I can see where I am headed.  Following others blindly may be the easy way but it prevents me from finding my own way doesn't it?  And isn't that what America is all about?  Living with the freedom to find our own way?  I advocate living a healthier, greener life for ourselves and our planet but folks can take it or leave it.  The choice is theirs.  And correct me if I am wrong, but here but in America the government cannot infringe on my personal right to feed my kid Twinkies very single day of the year if I choose to be so ignorant, right?

When it comes to where the line is drawn between personal rights and government control over those rights, the line of demarcation in the White House seems to be moving toward a desire to take more control.  They cannot trust us to take care of ourselves so they will have to come in and take over for us.  Sit back, relax and take a break from all thinking...there, there, are all of these decisions making you tired?  Don't worry, we know we can't rely on you citizens to take care of yourselves so we will do all of the thinking for you.  Think ObamaCare.  You aren't smart enough to take care of your own health care so we are now going to take care of you by forcing you to buy something or pay a penalty.

Certainly the far left has always leaned toward believing that it takes a village to raise a child.   Yet I don't live in a village (well actually I kind of do but I digress), and it concerns me that Michelle Obama, in taking on such a good hearted mission, is taking her trip too far.  We better all pray, and vote to make sure, that the day never comes when the White House decides to make it easy for all of us dummies and mandates all of the choices about what I am legally allowed to feed my kids.

I'm the Momma Michelle and you actually can leave it up to me to make "those" decisions.  Capiche?

It worries me when I start to hear that our First Lady considers childhood obesity a national security threat.

"Childhood obesity isn't just a public-health issue," she said. "It is a national-security threat as well."  So what kind of rules and regulations might that open us up to?

The first lady's harsh assessment of America's defenseless little couch potatoes and tater tots yesterday was part of President Obama's bill-signing ceremony for the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act, aimed at improving the nutrition of school lunches.

Referring to the first lady's "Let's Move!" campaign against childhood obesity, the president quipped that he was relieved to be signing the $4.5 billion measure because it meant he would not "be sleeping on the couch."
Lovely Mr. President.  That is flipping hilarious and totally TMI.

Look, here is a novel idea Mr. Obama, I will stay out of your personal business and you stay out of mine.
