Kickstarter Success Story David Foster and His Apple Certified, Light Powered LilyPad

It's like a Swiss Army Knife for your iPad - Charging your mobile on the go lifestyle with indoor and outdoor light
If you haven't heard of David Foster and his Apple certified LilyPad yet, you are about to find out just how badly you want what he has.  David, a fellow Orlando area resident, designed what has become my newest-favorite-green-gadget in his LilyPad.  And although his invention was noteworthy, green and certainly needed by millions, like many entrepreneurs, David would find financing his vision would require creativity.

David, looked to the funding platform used by creative types like artists and inventors, called Kickstarter, to fund his vision and ended up far exceeding his funding goals.   Over the past few months, I have had the opportunity to travel along with David through his emails and videos as he works to get the LilyPad produced and ready for distribution to all of his Kickstarter backers.  It has not been easy but David has a passion for what he is creating and he knows just how many consumers are going to want his product.  Did I mention that Apple has certified the LilyPad?

In just a few short weeks I will have my very own pink (they come in lots of great colors) LilyPad iPad light charging case that will also charge my iPhone on the go.  This sleek, well thought out eco-friendly, green device saves power too as it only needs a charge every 12 days or so.  David happily reported recently that he got two weeks off of his first charge.  I know you want one too.

The eco-friendly LilyPad uses new solar ink technology to convert outdoor and indoor light into usable energy to continually charge tablets such as the Apple iPad...but it does a lot more than that.  David made sure to include a USB Power-Out to easily charge everything you need when you are on the go.  Never again be without a charge when you need your phone, camera or headset.  Just think, no more memories left uncaptured because you had a dead camera battery.

Since we are Orlando neighbors, David is supposed to hand deliver my LilyPad.  Yet after getting David's last emai, I am kind of wondering if he will have time for little ol' green blogger @EnviroBooty.  I am happy to report that it looks like you will have a chance to own your very own LilyPad some time next year.   David has meetings set up with worldwide big-box retailers who are interested in helping him get his green invention in the hands of consumers worldwide.

I will keep you posted...
