Live a Little - Mr. Roger's Remix, Cultivate the Garden Of Your Mind

You Are Never Too Old for The Lessons of Mister Roger's Neighborhood...

Hi neighbor, welcome to my neighborhood!

Although I am a proponent of not thinking about things you don't think about, when you use your mind for creativity, I say let the thoughts flow.  So many times I see people become immobilized by the negative thoughts in their minds, and no good ever comes from it.  But when the curiosity of your mind leads you to think about positive thoughts, places you want to go or gives you ideas you can use to create beneficial change, I say let it flow.  We can think of the ideas in our minds growing like gardens right?  And who better than Mister Rogers, in this groovy little Neighborhood Remix, to remind of us to use the power of our mind to cultivate and grow ideas?

It's Good to Be Curious About Many Things
When we grow up and become big boys and girls, life seems to get in the way of all of the fruitful ideas growing in the gardens of our minds.  We shut down and worry more about how we are going to pay the light bill, than how we are going to spark our imagination to live our life to it's fullest potential. That's no way to experience a life well lived.

A new idea for snack time at home that will light up your little one's face with a smile, the ideas don't have to be earth shattering to be inspirational and make you feel alive.
Although it may be easier said than done, it is important to strive to not let the worries of life get in the way of cultivating and growing the fertile garden in your mind.  It's good to be curious about many things in order to feel alive isn't it?  From new ways to create a presentation to engage with co-workers and prospective clients, to new ideas for snack time at home that will light up your little one's face with a smile, the ideas don't have to be earth shattering to be inspirational and make you feel alive.

Set Time Aside to Cultivate the Garden of Your Mind
Whether it is as you fall asleep at night, while you do your workout (which is one of my most creative times), or while you drive home from work, set time aside to let your creative juices flow.  Try not to squelch the ideas that come to you before you have had a chance to fully explore their potential and never try to limit or steer the direction of your thoughts.  Let the thoughts in the garden of your mind grow because you never know how far they will take you and the ones you love.
