Johnson & Johnson Commits to Removing Toxic, Possible Carcinogens From Adult Products By 2015. Who Can You Trust Right Now?

A big thanks to @EcoKarenLee from
Eco Karen for the heads up on this!
Did You Know There Are Possible Carcinogens Lurking In Your Shampoo, Cosmetics and Personal Care Products?
Johnson & Johnson has committed to removing toxic chemicals of concern  from adult products by 2015 but we still have a long way to go in the fight for protection form toxic chemicals.  It is not just J&J that still uses trace amounts of the likely carcinogen 1,4 dioxane and the preservative formaldehyde, which is slowly released by a chemical called quaternium-15 to kill bacteria.  Because the possible carcinogens are regularly used in not only adult but also baby and children's personal care products, the possible risks to your health and your children's health are hiding in on store shelves across America.

J&J Already Forced By Consumers to Remove Possible Carcinogens from Baby Formulas
Last year in a push back from consumers led by the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, J&J announced they would remove the toxic ingredients from their baby products by 2013.
"We want people to have complete peace of mind when they use our products," said Susan Nettesheim, vice president of product stewardship and toxicology for J&J's consumer health brands.
How does peace of mind, or trust come into play for onsumers, when J&J and other manufacturers have knowingly been using the trace amounts of toxic chemicals in their products for years in the US?

Who Can You Trust Right Now for Personal Care Products that Are Safe for Your Family?

Do not wait until 2013 or 2015 for J&J's reformulated products and do not risk using traditional personal care products that have not been proven safe by the manufacturer (check back in for more on that tomorrow) when there are ways to shop for safer, greener options for your family.

If you are serious about safety for you and your family, it is time to buy organic not just in your food, but also in your personal care products.  Aren't you and your family worth it?

P.S.- People always ask me where I get my organic food and personal care products and I love to tell them about The Green PolkaDot Box! Backed by the Organic Consumer's Association and EnvironmentalBooty.com, you can easily buy NonGMO organic groceries, including Harvest Fresh Organic produce, at wholesale pricing online.  It's like a Sam's club but focused on products for green, healthy living! You can even shop by dietary restrictions like gluten free, vegan or diabetic and it all comes right to your front door. Enjoy!
