And what statement would that be, "WooHoo, I have heart disease from drinking Diet Coke!"? |
From the Diet Coke Heart Health site:
"The Heart Truth® campaign is a national awareness campaign, sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), that is embraced by millions of women who share the goal of better heart health. The campaign not only raises awareness about heart disease in women, it also equips them to take action against risk factors. The NHLBI is part of the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. "
Seriously Diet Coke? Do you think consumers are idiots? How can you promote heart health while a new study says your product, when consumed each day, causes heart problems? The study, which was done at Columbia University and University of Miami, followed 2,500 New Yorkers for 9 years and found that those that consumed diet soda every day had a 61 percent increased risk of vascular events such as stroke or heart attack than those that drank none. Nice.Diet Coke's Heart Truth Campaign is a Big Lie! |
First you bombard women with the adorable little skinny can sending the message that super skinny is the picture of beauty...
and now you try to go green by partnering with our government to push your product and company as one that is heart healthy?
Now contrast that ridiculous effort with the facts...
How can a company be so heartless?
