California Poised to Ban the Single Use Plastic Bags

News that California is on the edge of a statewide bag ban cannot come at a better time for the environment and wildlife.  And now word comes that the California Grocers Association is backing the ban and it feels like we are finally making progress on many fronts.

Is there a bag ban in your hometown or state?  I am CMO for Factory Direct Promos and love to point folks in the direction of our Interactive Bag Ban Map to get the stories behind the bag bans, fees and failed attempts to ban bags throughout the world.  It seems to me that the only thing stopping bag bans are some folks who, have their right to disagree of course because of a feeling of inconvenience nd the plastic manufacturers.

But a little birdie told me (a source at one of the largest chemical manufacturing companies in the world) that the plastic manufactures can see the writing on the wall and although they are fighting tooth and nail against the bag bans, they know it is only a matter of time before their damaging single use plastic bags have met their demise.
