Is Buying Organic Food Worth It or Not?

So Seriously, Is Organic Worth It or Not?

I get asked all the time whether it is "worth it or not" to go organic and I always like to reply to the question in three simple and easy to understand answers.
  1. A National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIH) study posted in Environmental Health Perspectives back in 2006, demonstrated that when scientists substituted children’s conventional diets with organic food items for 5 consecutive days, the median urinary concentrations of pesticides decreased to the non-detect levels immediately after the introduction of organic diets and remained non-detectable until the conventional diets were reintroduced.
  2. Once when I was in a rush and did not have time to run into the market for organic milk, I picked up non-organic at CVS. I poured a glass for my youngest daughter the next morning with only a pang of guilt which I quieted with the meme that she would not even notice the difference.  I was wrong. Before even fully swallowing the milk, she dropped the glass down onto the table with a grimace on her face and exclaimed, "What IS this?"  Clearly, there is a taste difference between organic and conventional in not only the milk and meat, but also in the fruits and vegetables.
  3. You don't have to worry about whether or not you can afford organics or where to buy them.  Shop like I do at Green PolkaDot Box  and save up to 60% on NonGMO, organic foods, drinks and more and make your life easy and stay on budget.  It's easy peasy, lemon squeezy.
So you tell me, is it worth it or not?
