My Guilty Pleasures and Rockin' a Recycled Ride

Organic Chocolate Bars and Rockin' a Recycled Ride

My super sweet daughter, Reece, bought me one of my favorite birthday presents this year in an organic chocolate bar, some carefully chosen magazines and a beautifully written card expressing why she loves me.  I am sure you can figure out which was my favorite gift form her, but my guilty pleasure was not the most obvious in the chocolate, although I ate it over four days in tiny delicious bites, it was the magazines I really savored.

Reece knows me so well and one of the magazines she bought for me was the May/June issue of Natural Health and in it there was a little blurb about the coolest bike I have ever seen.  Now I just got the most perfect, pink beach cruiser or I would be all over this because it is made from almost 100% recycled content. Too cool right?

Avid cyclist Bryce Edmonds joined forces with Zen Bicycle Fabrication to produce the very first of its kind bikes made with recycled materials.  The US made ReCycles sport a belt in favor of a chain, renewable cork saddles and recycled aluminum. A bit pricey at $2,000 but certainly with consumer prodding, this ideology will soon find its way into bikes from retailers like WalMart and Target.

P.S.- People always ask me where I get my organic food and personal care products and I love to tell them about The Green PolkaDot Box! Backed by the Organic Consumer's Association and EnvironmentalBooty.com, you can easily buy NonGMO organic groceries, including Harvest Fresh Organic produce, at wholesale pricing online.  It's like a Sam's club but focused on products for green, healthy living! You can even shop by dietary restrictions like gluten free, vegan or diabetic and it all comes right to your front door. Enjoy!
